Everyone wants to\nhave an education, and some people want to expand their knowledge of the world\nwhile they study. It is a typical thing for students to travel and study abroad\nduring their university years. Japan has become a popular spot for students\nwanting to improve their Japanese language ability, and for students who want\nto enjoy their studies in a different culture. There are many choices for\nstudents to pick from in Japan. Some are in the major metropolitan areas, while\nothers are in the calmer parts of the country. We will look at a few of the\nmany universities that students can choose from in Japan. You may find a school\nthat will be your next study destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aoyama University<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aoyama University\nis one of Japan’s most well-known schools. It has campuses around Tokyo and\nother parts of the country. It is a private Christian university and is seen as\na top school to continue your studies in Japan. It was originally opened in\n1874 by Dora E. Schoonmaker, and it was an all-girls school that was created\nafter Japan removed the national ban on Christianity. Over time more boys\nschools were opened by other missionaries and they combined to created Aoyama\nUniversity. The school’s main campus is in Shibuya and it has been in service\nfor over 145 years. It offers academic programs in Japanese and English and\nthey have a large variety of classes and programs to choose from. It sports a\nbeautiful campus that contains a large chapel in the middle that students can\nuse for prayer services and for other events throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keio University<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Keio University\nwas established in 1858 as a school of Western learning by Yukichi Fukuzawa. It\nwas Japan’s first private university and is known as a top science-based\nschool. It has been in service for over 150 years and is viewed as one of the\ntop universities in Japan. It is world-renowned and has six campuses in Tokyo\nand Kanagawa. They are affiliated with many smaller schools around the world.\nThe school offers 10 undergraduate programs as well as graduate programs. This\nschool offers classes in English as well and has a large foreign exchange\nprogram in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University of Tokyo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The University of\nTokyo was the first national university to be established in Japan and was\nopened in 1877. The original school was created by combining four schools\ntogether. The school continued to merge other schools into itself and now\nboasts a curriculum that covers almost every major field of study. It has three\nmain campuses in Hongo, Komaba, and Kashiwa. They are affiliated with other\nschools in Japan but do not have other school affiliations outside of the\ncountry. Since the university offers so many choices for majors, it is an ideal\nuniversity for foreign exchange students looking to study in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nihon University<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nihon University was established in 1889 and is\nfocused mainly on research. It is located in Chiyoda in Tokyo. It has evolved\nfrom a law school into a national school that is focused on creating students\nthat have an open mind and worldview. They have ties with many universities in\nthe world and can be easy to contact and to your paperwork for studying abroad.\nThey have a Japanese studies course that is highly praised by students around\nthe world. It is a private university and has begun to branch out by acquiring\nbuildings in other countries to start new schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Osaka University<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Osaka University\nis located in the city of Osaka and is a public research university. The\nuniversity was founded in 1931, even though the schools that led to its\ncreation started in 1724. It is one of Japan’s most prestigious schools and is\nregularly ranked among the top 3 schools in the country. The school has three\ncampuses in Suita, Toyonaka, and Minoh. It has full programs in English and has\na popular Japanese studies program that many students attend. They also have\nexchange agreements with many universities around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tohoku University<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tohoku University\nis Japan’s third national university and was established in 1907. It is another\nresearch-centric school that was one of the first to begin accepting students\nfrom lower-level schools. It tried to allow anyone from any background the\nability to receive a quality education. It has garnered partners from around\nthe world and has a large number of agreements with schools across the globe.\nIt has three undergraduate degrees that can be taken in English. It also has a\ncomprehensive graduate program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are only a\nfew universities in Japan that you can attend to further your education while\nenjoying the country. They all offer some form of financial aid that can help\nanyone attend.
